Staphylococcus aureus: Understanding the Bacterial Menace

Look what protects your health. Review of the properties of coconut water

Coconut

I used to think that coconut is very tasty and coconut water is ambrosia. These dreams were shattered when I broke the first nut. It has little taste but it is said to be very healthy.

Coconut is a sensation. It has not only interesting taste but also healing and regenerating properties for the body.

Coconut water is obtained from the green, unripe fruits of the coconut palm. It is free of any artificial additives and the multiple, natural filtration of the tree makes it sterile and rich in nutrients. It can be eaten immediately after being squeezed from the fruit, the younger fruit is the more water it contains.

What does coconut water contain?

Coconut water is a wealth of compounds that are beneficial for humans, including:

  • Vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, C)
  • Minerals (magnesium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus)
  • Electrolytes
  • Lauric acid
  • Cytokinins

Coconut water is free from preservatives, artificial sweeteners and acidity regulators. It contains a kinetin- a natural growth hormone that occurs in human DNA.

Properties of coconut water:

  1. Coconut water specifically supports the heart and circulatory system.

Coconut water can be consumed by everyone, regardless of age and health. Due to the presence of lauric acid in it (such as in breast milk), it can be given even to small children.

The cytokinin content makes coconut water an anticoagulant and low caloric value and lack of sugar in composition makes it possible to be drunk by both diabetics and people on a diet.

Coconut water hydrates the body 10 times more than juices and sports drinks. For this reason it is particularly recommended to people who exercise physical activity or suffer from dehydration. The kinetin contained in coconut water causes the skin cells to age more slowly. They are the ones that produce collagen and elastin, which are essential for the preservation of a young apperance. The antioxidant effect of coconut water causes free radicals to be literally wiped out from the body and the skin is able to regenerate even after burns or damage.

Regular drinking of coconut water is recommended for people who are exposed to increased physical or mental exertion, observe progressive signs of aging or simply want to eat healthier and stay full functional for longer.
