Staphylococcus aureus: Understanding the Bacterial Menace

Popular products that contain a high dose of toxins

Pita bread
Food available in stores is getting cheaper, tastier and containing even less nutrients every year. As food production becomes more industrialized, it contains more and more toxins and substances that accumulate in our bodies. In this article, I will try to describe the products that I avoid and briefly describe the marketing tricks that manufacturers use.

Sports drinks

We buy them because they are advertised by famous athletes. Unfortunately, sports drinks contain food dyes that can negatively affect concentration and memory, especially in children. These types of drinks can also contain a lot of sugar. Water or coconut water would be a much better choice if you workout at moderate intensity. When you workout at high intensity and sweat intensively, you can supplement the mineral deficiency with preparations such as Orsalit.

Non-fat chips (baked)

Light products rarely have positive effects when it comes to weight loss. Likewise, baked chips are advertised as a healthier alternative to standard chips. Research indicates that non-fat chips are more often chosen by people and eaten in greater quantities. As fat is a taste-bearing, fat-free chips contain more spices and flavor-enhancer.

Carbonated drinks

Some drinks contain bromated vegetable oil. The substance accumulates in adipose tissue and can cause fertility problems and ailments of the nervous system. Some large companies, such as Coca Cola, have given up adding it to drinks.

Buyable pita bread

Some of them may contain potassium bromide, a substance that reduces the production costs of bread and worsens the functioning of the kidneys and causes intestinal ailments. Potassium bromide can also be found in certain types of bread. There are also harmful substances in ordinary bread and rolls, but that is a topic for a different story.

Corn flakes
Corn flakes

They've been advertised for years as a perfect healthy breakfast, but they have nothing to do with it. Corn flakes contain a lot of sugar, artificial flavors and unhealthy fats. You can also find BHA and BHT (antioxidants) in them, that cause ailments such as:

  • Skin problems
  • Kidney problems
  • Dyspnoea
  • Cancer

Milk products without an organic certificate

They may contain animal growth hormones which are given to cows to increase milk production. IGF-1 hormone can cause breast and prostate cancer. Yogurt producers also do not regret adding artificial food dyes, High-fructose corn syrup and flavors. At the same time, yogurts contain little protein as this gives a feeling of fullness which is undesirable from a shopping point of view. Organic yogurts (for example Greek) are better choices, and yogurts without fruits.

Smoked supermarket chicken and in general chicken meat

Chicken meat is not the healthiest, due to the mass production of it and the use of high doses of antibiotics and other medicines. Scientists fear that the effectiveness of standard antibiotics may soon become less effective, as bacteria and viruses may become resistant to them. For this reason, other poultry species, such as turkey, are a slightly healthier choice.

Fish

Some of the least healthy fish, include:

  • Panga fish
  • Swordfish
  • Tuna
  • Farmed salmon
  • Butterfish

Smaller fish, as well as herbivorous fish, store less toxins in them, therefore they are safer. Seafood is also valuable.
